His expertise include Offshore Production , supervision & operation of DP Diving Support , Drilling & Cable Laying Vessels , Subsea Object Recovery , Payload Delivery and Subsea Burial Machinery for Submarine Cable Deployment . Currently, he runs the Axelsson Maritime Management , a marine contracting service company engaged in marine consulting and offshore project management . They have had several huge projects with Valero Corporation as a Pollution & Safety Adviser , where they performed marine assurance services for discharge & loading operations at terminals in the US , and with the Great Eastern Group performing project management services on near shore cable installation projects .
Previously, Captain Axelsson was the Senior Project Manager with 3U Technologies . With the company, he held sailing positions as Chief Officer and Relief Master engaged in Deepwater ROV intervention operations . His management experience has been cultivated in offshore operations of technically sophisticated vessels such as Drilling , Diving Support & Cable Laying , with the various tasks he held like the Program Management of Multi-vessel Conversion Program , the Development of a Business Process for Operations Management of a fleet of chartered cable laying vessels (which included the design , fabrication , procurement , mobilization , at-sea operations , and demobilization of a portable cable laying system to an offshore supply vessel ), and the operations management in submarine cable installation projects .
Earlier in his long career life, Captain Axelsson has handled several challenging key positions with international companies such as it International Telecom USA , Oceaneering International Inc ., Zapata Offshore Corp ., Oceantrawl Inc ., Axelsson & Johnson Co ., and Sedco-Forex Schlumberger Ltd . Through it all, he gained an in-depth first hand experience with providing Systems Engineering Support , Conceptual Design and Concept of Operations Analysis , Deepwater ROV Operation , System Documentation , Presentation and Design Reviews , Cost Projections , Scheduling , Procurement Documentation , Vendor Evaluation & Selection , System Integration & Validation , System Mobilization - Demobilization Activities and At-Sea Operations .
Captain Axelsson has a Marine Master Degree ( Open Sea & Any Gross Tonnage ). He also has Masters and Bachelors Degrees in Electrical Engineering . Further, he is a Certified Master by the USCG ( United States Cost Guard ).
