He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Teekay Shipping (Canada) with a staff of 24 (officers and ratings) and handling the trading region including North America , Latin America , Europe , Africa , Mediterranean , and Black Sea .

Captain Drana is concurrently the QHSE Manager of Teekay wherein he manages the company's compliance on Quality , Health & Safety , and Environment regulations as laid down by standards: IMO , MARPOL , Flag State , SIRE , Vetting , ISGOTT , OCIMF , USCG , Oil Terminal , Classification Bodies (LR, DNV, IRS) , (HAZOP, JHA) etc. He is also responsible for the training and development of the ship's officers , cadets and crew , Ship Handling/Navigation watches , Marine Operations Management , Safety Systems Implementation and Deck Maintenance . Prior to being the executive officer, he was the Second/Safety Officer responsible for controlling and managing the Training Officers , Pollution Officers , GMDSS Officers , Voyage Planning , Medical Officer and Assistant Chief Officer .

During his career life, Captain Drana worked as the Third Officer of the Bona Shipholding Company in Norway wherein he actively involved in Arrival / Departure Documentation and responsible for navigational watches , Voyage Planning , maintenance of LSA and FFA , assisted Second Officer , publications and chart corrections , preparing voyage reports and actively involved in HSEQ activities . Prior to that, Captain Drana was a Third Officer of Shipping Corporation wherein he successfully implemented and improved on requirements of major Oil companies like Shell , BP-Amoco , Total-Fina-Elf , Chevron-Texaco , Exxon-Mobil , Statoil , and Sonatrach . He has also spearheaded the implementation of ISPS Code , ISO 9001 , ISO 14001 , and OHSAS 18001 .
