He is currently the Engineering Manager at Vasilikos Power Station which is one of the largest and most modern Power Stations in Europe .

During his career life, Dr. Ciras has built up an international reputation in his design, teaching and consulting work in Power Generation, Transformers, Motors, Process Control, Instrumentations, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and SCADA systems .

Dr. Ciras is a life member of IEEE and he is the author of the famous book " Linear and Nonlinear Modelling of Gas Turbine Engines ", the book that gained international recognition by being presented and discussed in several international conferences and journals .

Dr. Ciras has a PhD degree in Control Engineering, a Master Degree in Electromechanical Engineering and a Bachelor Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from Glamorgan University, UK .
