Professor Keith Balchin, (UK) is currently the President of Engineering and Management Consulting and the Professor of Reliability Centred Maintenance ( RCM ), Total Productive Maintenance ( TPM ), World Class Manufacturing ( WCM ) Safety, Health & Environment ( SHE ), Risk Analysis and Management, HAZOP Studies in the University of Cape Town , with over 25 years of industrial experience in the Machinery & Maintenance field.

Mr. Keith has started his long career life with GEC Traction Ltd , UK as a Project Engineer & then joined with Van Niekerk, Kleyn & Edwards as a Mechanical Engineer , Warner Lambert S.A. (Pty) Ltd as an Engineering Manager , S.A. Breweries Ltd as an Engineering Manager responsible for Planning & Controlling Reliability & Preventive Manitenance (RCM & TPM ) and TPM and Asset CARE implementation , National Marketing Manager Initiation of an RCM planned maintenance system using MSG3 logic .
Mr. Keith is a Senior Member of the Institution of Certified Mechanical and Electrical Engineers , and a Member of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers .
