Professor Burl Donaldson (USA) P.E, PhD, M. Eng, B. Eng is a Senior Power Engineer with over 40 years of extensive experience in Thermodynamics & Applications , Heat Transfer , Water Desalination, Fluid Mechanics, Gas Dynamics , Combustion , Liquid & Gas Flowmetering and Flow Measurement Techniques. He is currently a Senior Professor at the New Mexico State University in the USA lecturing on Fluid & Thermal Sciences , Fluid Mechanics and Thermodynamics . Concurrently, he is an Independent Consultant where he provides engineering consultancy services to various multi-national companies . |

As a Senior Consultant , Dr. Donaldson worked for various international companies and organizations such as USA Vapor Corporation, TXT, Ace Oil USA, Nations Energy Company, Tartan Energy, KTech, Sandia National Laboratories and numerous insurance companies. Some of his various accomplishments include evaluation of an industrial burner design for reduced emissions, specified & operated large compressors for proof-of-principle component testing , compliance with NM fuel storage regulations and evaluation of oil accumulations for enhanced oil recovery potential . During his career life, Dr. Donaldson was the Director of Design & Development of the Enhanced Energy Systems Incorporated where he was responsible for the development of all equipment for the down-hole generation of high pressure, direct contact steam ( two-phase water with nitrogen and carbon dioxide) in a heavy oil recovery application. He has also participated in the ASME code shop fabrication and certification of boilers . He also worked as the Director of Field Operations in the same company where he supervised all field activities including installation and operation of steam generator & support system and designed heat exchangers for engine water jacket and exhaust heat rejection energy utilization . Prior to that, he was employed in Sandia National Laboratories where he headed the Heat Transfer , Electrochemical Components and Deep Steam Project groups .
Dr. Donaldson's working experience in the academe includes being a Senior Professor of Engineering in the New Mexico Highlands University , Senior Professor & Chemical Engineering Department Head of one of the largest universities in the Middle East , Lecturer of Continuing Education at Sandia National Laboratories and a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of New Mexico . He has been lecturing on Fluid & Thermal Sciences, Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics , Material & Energy Balances, Flow Measurement Technologies, Natural Gas Processing, Cooling Tower Design , Heat Transfer, Heat Conduction and Combustion .
Dr. Donaldson has a PhD in Mechanical Engineering and Masters & Bachelors degrees in Chemical Engineering from the New Mexico State University and the University of Utah, USA. He has various patents related to Steam System, Combustion and Desalination. He has numerous publications & papers circulated and presented in various conferences world-wide.
